Why Standing Desks are so Important to Us

The owner Bill started StandingPro to help those who want to live a healthier lifestyle.

As a young man, Bill was introduced to Standing Desks when he suffered throbbing back injuries during his long 40 hour work weeks. The problem was reinforced when he realized that Americans across the country sit for an average of 13 hours per day! In addition to this, there were decades of study indicating that prolonged periods of sitting slow down your metabolism and promote fat accumulation.

There had to be a solution.

Enter standing desks.

A few weeks after, Bill visited one of his friend's new office. He noticed a lot of the employees standing while working and he was extremely curious about why he used them. His friend explained that the desks helped the team increase their energy levels, focus better and improve their mood. He had to try them for himself. So he did. He was hooked!

The increased movement in his day was so stimulating, that he became more productive and focused than he had ever been.

By simply standing up intermittently while you work, Bill realized that anyone can instantly decrease their risk of obesity. Active workstations could keep you productive, while also keeping you in shape.

Bill wanted to spread this message to as many people as possible so that they could experience the same thing he did.

He did some searching online but couldn't find an online store that was easy to shop or had a wide-selection and educational articles to help him learn about standing desks and productivity equipment. He decided to start a brand new website called StandingPro.com, the one you're on right now, to help those who want to shop, browse, and learn all in one place.
